Starting Thursday, New York Times subscribers will be able to read that publication’s content on Flipboard.
The announcement is part of the Times’ “NYT Everywhere” strategy to expand its reach via third-party platforms.
Following authentication by Flipboard, Times subscribers will have full access to articles, videos, photo slideshows and blogs. Users can tap on The New York Times for such access. As with other New York Times news applications, the Top News section of the app is free to all.
For Flipboard, the announcement is the latest in a couple of high-profile moves over the past few weeks including the introduction of an Android app and integration with Google+ and YouTube.
